There's also a flashcard feature which you can use to review your notes, but I haven't used it yet.Taking notes with pencil and paper is surely a thing of the pass. I only have the mac app, but from what I've seen on the iPad you can handrwrite notes. At the end you can even export your mindmap as an outline (although it looks pretty ugly.). All your notes on your mindmap remain linked to the original text within each pdf article, which is great if you ever need to reference that info on a paper. You get to make a hierarchy of your notes that can be color-coded and you can add hashtags to it. For me, there was a bit of a learning curve and the program is a bit buggy at times, but once you get the hang of it, it's really awesome. It's a mac/iPad app that allows you to highlight pdfs and then organize your highlighted bits in a mindmap. I decided to take a look into pdf annotation apps that could be useful at this stage since I felt my previous system was a bit messy and had me forget a lot of what I read.
